The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the CDC publishes annual immunization updates, and pharmacists as immunizers need to keep current with the changing recommendations. Vaccinations are a key component of public health promotion and a critical piece of pharmacy practice. Information changes yearly (or more often), and pharmacists and students are licensed to administer injectables, and this educational program will be a piece of biennial licensure attainment.
