Left Atrial Appendage Closure

In this presentation, Jean Moubarak, MD provides an overview of the Left Atrial Appendage Closure procedure for patients with atrial fibrillation.

Target Audience

This course is intended for primary care physicians, hospitalists, general medicine internists, family practitioners, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other allied health professionals.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Analyze stroke treatment options for patients among providers
  • Identify everyday challenges of oral anticoagulation for patients
  • Recognize gaps of care in treatment of atrial fibrillation with oral anticoagulants
